Protection project:

The protection project provides multiple services to the displaced and war-affected people who suffer from difficult life conditions in the places of displacement, as they lack the most basic necessities of life that would enable them to establish a new life and rely on themselves to obtain various basic services, where Yemen Development Foundation, through the Protection Project –IDPs CC, implements the following activities:

Psychological support service for the displaced: Many of the displaced population who have left their homes and properties because of the war in the areas they live in may be exposed to great psychological trauma, especially women and children who are very afraid of air strikes, which in turn negatively affects their psyche, as they feel depressed and terrified, they may be exposed for psychological problems, they need psychological support that relieves their psychological and mental suffering, and this is what the community center provides for the displaced, as it provides psychological support and psychological counseling to many affected by the war in order to relieve their psychological suffering in the places of displacement.

Legal support: Many displaced and war-affected people cannot arrange their displacement due to the intensity of air raids and the war on the ground, which makes hundreds of families flee leaving all their possessions and belongings, including their personal documents, and then reach the places of displacement without any property, including personal cards, which are one of the most important private documents that prove identity and help a person to move freely and obtain various protection services from various humanitarian organizations one of the most important services provided by the legal department are providing birth certificate cards for displaced children, which enables them to enroll in schools and obtain their right to education in the places of displacement, in addition to legal advice services.

 Multi-purpose cash assistance: which targets heads of displaced families who do not have sources of income to enable them to purchase the basic requirements of their families, in addition to those who suffer from chronic diseases from all segments of society. Multi-purpose cash support is also provided to women heads of families who do not find resources Income to support their families.

The community center provides emergency cash assistance to such affected people in order to save their lives because they cannot pay the costs of travel or pay the costs of treatment that saves their souls.

Within the protection project, the referral service is provided to service providers in order to alleviate the suffering of the displaced and the affected by transferring them to various medical and humanitarian services within the referral activity that is circulated among the organizations working in the field

The awareness-raising activity is one of the most important activities implemented by the community center, which aims to raise awareness among the displaced and those affected by the war in various aspects of life. The team holds awareness sessions periodically, targeting those coming to the center as well as the cases that are evaluated in the field
