Yemen Development Foundation inaugurated today in Saada the distribution of school seats for a number of schools in the districts of Sahar and Safra, Saada, funded by UNICEF.
During the inauguration ceremony, which was organized at the Jarman Educational Complex in the Directorate of Sahar, Muhammad Ali Kaiba, the Undersecretary of Saada Governorate for Education Affairs, praised the outputs of the project implemented by the Foundation, praising the Foundation's efforts and its good performance during implementation.
Kaiba also thanked UNICEF for its continuous support to the education sector in the governorate during the last period, noting that the governorate's schools are still in dire need of continuous support in various aspects, especially with regard to providing supplies and means of education, pointing out the need for the organization to continue to provide aspects of support. For the education sector during the next stage and work to cover the existing deficit in the field of school seats.
For his part, Fawaz Al-Hamid, head of the Foundation, confirmed that the project represents the beginning of providing school seats for all the governorate’s schools in the various districts, thanking UNICEF for its support for this project, praising the cooperation of the Education Office in the governorate with the Foundation during the implementation stages of the project, noting that the Foundation’s plans aim to: Providing more than 20,000 school seats for all schools in the governorate.
It is noteworthy that the project implemented by the Yemen Development Foundation provides 460 school seats for 12 schools in 3 districts (Sahar - Sa'ada - Safra).
The inauguration was attended by Mr. Abdullah Al-Jalal, Deputy Director General of the Education Office in the governorate, and Mr. Abdul Latif Al-Farah, General Director of the Executive Unit in the governorate.
