In May, 2020, Yemen Development Foundation (YDF) has distributed shelter assistance (NFIs & ESKs) to 1,102 families in the Sa'adah District - Sa'adah governorate with support from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), as part of the shelter project that targets internally displaced persons (IDPs) and war-affected families.
In that Regard, a comprehensive plan was established for the distribution sites, communication with the beneficiaries within the limited time to insure all of beneficiaries get access to their assistance in an organized manner without any obstructions, taking into account the precautionary measures of Covid-19 such as awareness sessions and physical distances within the distribution activity.
During the distribution, the team of the distribution along with social workers have been conducted many activities such as community awareness of the danger of spreading corona virus, psychological support sessions and legal counseling, taking into consideration the complaints and inquiries from the beneficiaries in the distribution site.
The distribution process was supervised directly by the head of the Foundation (YDF), the MEAL unit and the management of the IDPs Community Center in which they praised the effort of all social workers who notably facilitate the distribution process and dealing well with the beneficiaries in all humanitarian activities
