As the humanitarian needs of thousands of people in Sa'ada governorate are getting exacerbated alarmingly due to the ongoing war and the huge displacement wave, the Yemen Development Foundation (YDF) has been distributed 2,762 cash assistance to 2,762 needy households as well as emergency life-saving aid to 16 others with funding from the United Nation High commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The project was allocated for multi-purpose and rental for vulnerable households who were affected by war and displacement, which was transferred through Al Kuraimi Bank agents in the governorate.
The two-week payment cycle aimed at mitigating the suffering of internally displaced persons(IDPs) to enable them get access to life-saving needs, paying rentals and other vital needs for survival.
The YDF management along with the CBI focal point prepared a plan in order to facilitate the payment cycle, taking into consideration Covid-19 preventive measures which were put in a place to ensure the safety of beneficiaries and aid workers during the disbursement process
