A meeting of relief service providers in Saada Governorate

Today, the Yemen Development Foundation organized the periodic meeting of humanitarian relief service providers in Saada Governorate, as part of the activities of the project for managing and coordinating the sites of displaced persons, funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
The aim of the meeting, which was attended by Fawaz Al-Hamid, head of the Yemen Development Foundation and the official of the water department in the branch of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the governorate, Hassan Al-Ezzi, and representatives of organizations, associations and humanitarian institutions working in Saada, is to ensure equitable access to services and protection for people and displaced persons in the sites of displaced persons through coordination. With service providers, stakeholders, the Humanitarian Council and relevant government agencies, to improve their living conditions during displacement.
At the meeting, the project coordinator for the management and coordination of IDP sites at the Yemen Development Foundation, Omar Al-Haiti, reviewed the meeting’s agenda, and the project team’s initial assessment of the IDPs’ gatherings and their needs.
The attendees also reviewed the interventions implemented by the organizations operating in Saada and the possibility of providing humanitarian assistance to bridge the gap in the needs of the displaced in their gathering sites in various sectors.
The meeting decided to share the needs of the displaced communities with the relevant authorities and service providers, both in the field of currency, provided that they share their criteria to the Yemen Development Foundation, which will undertake the referral process for service providers to take into account their standards.
The meeting was attended by the Executive Director of the Yemen Development Foundation Abdul Ghani Rashid, the Director of the Community Center for the Displaced, Ibrahim Al-Sharafi, the Director General of the Rural Water Authority Office, Engineer Adel Shathan, a number of officials of the relevant official authorities and representatives of organizations, institutions and humanitarian associations working in Saada
