Training workshop on the management and coordination of sites for displaced persons

The training workshop for members of community committees on the management and coordination of displaced persons in displaced persons' sites in the districts of Saada, Sahar, Qatabir and Ghamar, which is being carried out by a development institution funded by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and under the supervision and coordination of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (SC), has been launched with the PrefDepartment.
At the opening of the training workshop attended by Farhan, a representative of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) at the Sa'dah Office, Hamid Hamel, Deputy Director of the High Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs Branch, stressed the need to investigate the accuracy of registration, both by priority and by targeting criteria.
Calling for serious and responsible action to address the needs of vulnerable and affected families and the host community, noting that the objective is not to assemble displaced persons but to provide emergency humanitarian services and help them return to their areas and villages of origin.
In addition, Ibrahim Al-Sharafi, Director of the Community Centre for Internally Displaced Persons, called for the need to ensure credibility and transparency in the field in order to reach the target groups.
The training workshop, in which 32 project task forces and members of community committees from the target directorates participated, reviewed the objectives of the workshop and the tasks to be carried out by community committees in the field.
