A workshop for the community protection committees in Saada

A training workshop for community protection committees was held in Saada Governorate, implemented by the Yemen Development Foundation, within the activities of the protection project implemented through the community center for the displaced, funded by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and in coordination with the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Saada Governorate.
The workshop aims to build the capacities of members of the community committees in the field of referral, community awareness, and enhance environmental sanitation and personal hygiene efforts and case management in the targeted districts in Saada.
During the workshop, the participants also received theoretical lectures and practical applications on volunteer work, the humanitarian situation, principles of humanitarian work, the roles and responsibilities of committee members, the importance of community participation in protection, data collection methods and other issues related to the rights of the displaced.
The workshop was attended by Hamid Mahmal, Deputy Director-General of the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Saada, Abdul Latif Al-Farah, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Yemen Development Foundation, Ibrahim Al-Sharafi, Director of the Community Center for the Displaced, and a number of officials and employees of the Foundation.
