387 Benefit from psychosocial support during June and July 2021

The war in the country for the sixth year in a row has left a great legacy of suffering that affected various walks of life, and many residents were forced to flee, leaving their homes and everything they owned in order to search for a dignified and safe life. The society in the country in general and in the governorate of Saada in particular is in dire need of providing psychological and social support services, in order to alleviate their suffering, pain and psychological disorders and reduce the impact of the consequences of these disorders and trauma on their lives and future, themselves and those around them Yemen Development Foundation works through the community center for the displaced, with the support of Success Partners (UNHCR) and in cooperation with the Supreme Council for the Management and Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, to provide psychosocial support services to the displaced, returnees from displacement, the affected and the host community.
Statistics issued by the Community Center for the Displaced indicated that the number of cases for which psychological and social support services were provided During the month of June and July 2021 AD, 387 beneficiaries, including (118) men, (111) women, (87) boys, and (71) girls.
Statistics confirmed that the number of beneficiaries according to gender is (220) males and (182) females, and according to the target groups, the number of beneficiaries is (349) IDPs, (19) returnees from displacement, and (19) beneficiaries from the host community.
The statistics showed that the percentage of females and males who have psychological and social conditions and who received psychological and social support suffer from severe physical and psychological pain as a result of war, air raids, and bombing, as well as displacement, which still severely affects psychological conditions.
The statistics showed that (24) other IDPs with disabilities, including (16) males and (8) females who received psychological and social support, suffer from psychological conditions as a result of the war, and are exposed to psychological and social pressures and tension due to fear of the uncertain future and their sources of income
